Meek Mill has partnered with Amazon Prime for a new documentary titled Free Meek which tracks the rapper’s fight against the criminal justice system following his incarceration for violating probation from a prior conviction in November 2017.

The Amazon exclusive series is executive produced by Jay-Z along with Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman and Paul and Isaac Solotaroff. Hov also features in the docu-series in form of an interview where he speaks on the injustice suffered by the Philly rapper and his continued resilience to get out of difficult times.

“Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill’s 2017 arrest for probation violations sparked national outrage. A re-investigation of his original case explores allegations of police corruption as Meek becomes the face of a justice reform movement,” the synopsis says. Meek also recently joined forces with Jay-Z to bring his Dream Chasers imprint to Roc Nation to make it a proper label.
